Whatsoever is Lovely 2022-week 8

I know the purple dead nettle (lamium purpureum) is a weed. But I’ve always rather liked it. It’s one of my favorite harbingers of spring. I’ve always felt that it was unfair for it to be called the “dead nettle”. Such an ugly name for a pretty little plant. “They” say it is because the purple dead nettle doesn’t sting like its cousin.

I’ve read that this plant has lots of beneficial uses. I never got around to trying any of them out.

I used Raw Therapee for raw conversion and basic edits, added a tiny bit of radiance to the snow in Topaz Studio 2, then used the GIMP to crop, resize and add a watermark. I used the workflow described in: Photo processing workflow: preparing photos to use on the web using open-source software.
