Maple blossoms
Spring is now in full swing. It’s a bit warmer and my maple tree has started to pop. You have to get up close to notice the maple blossoms, but the tree is full of tine flowers. I just love these delicate flowers…even though I strongly suspicion that they are why I sneeze so much this time of year.

This little bird had no fear. Usually they dart away but this one was keeping a careful eye on us as we walked along.
I used Raw Therapee for raw conversion and basic edits, followed by the GIMP for finishing touches. I used the workflow described in: Photo processing workflow: preparing photos to use on the web using open-source software.
